Seconds ago Tori and her squad was inside the Downward Spiral looking at dimensional gateways, and the next they were being dragged through a portal to a foreign world she never seen before. The sky and air wasn't that different from Jenesis, but she knew this wasn't Jenesis. The moment she fell on the street she recollected herself and pulled herself up to her feet. Dressed in a black military uniform with a blue eagle on the shoulder and breast. She looked around for any familiar signs, but the only one she found was a sign that said "Kansas City 10 miles." What in the world was Kansas City? And where the hell did they just land? Tori looked to her comrades.
"Is everyone all right?"

Kragen was the second one to get up to his feet, dressed in black military garb made complete with a gas mask. Few people have ever seen his real face, and that was something he wanted to keep to numbers he could only count on one hand. He checked to see if all of his equipment was still good and then looked around his position. Noticing the sign and wondering what Kansas City was. They definitely weren't in Jenesis anymore, but where?
"Affirmative."
Was all he said in reply to the commander's question.

Garrus was the third to get up and look around the area trying to make sense of where they were. In his trademark blue armor that he had on since he crash landed on Jenesis and met the Isafaro Resistance. There were no hostiles yet, but one could never be too careful in a strange new land. With his heavy pistol out he looked to the commander. Garrus Vakarian I'm fine, but where in the world did we just land?

None of them knew what was going on, but Tori knew that the answers they sought was probably in this 'Kansas City' that was ten miles away, so it made sense to go in that direction and learn from the locals where they were. Like one should do in any new location.
"Stay sharp! We don't know what to expect from this planet. Follow me."
Tori took out her Socom pistol as she walked pass the sign and in the direction of Kansas City.

Kragen drew his HK pistol and followed the commander down the road to Kansas City. He looked around the area at the countryside and the few houses they walked past as they went along. The world didn't seem too different from Jenesis, with maybe a few exceptions. For instance there was only one sun in the sky instead of two. Even though the second sun was a cause of mysterious circumstances that no one truly understood.
"Understood."

Garrus kept his heavy pistol to his side and followed the two down the road. Whatever this mass of land was called seemed peaceful enough, but that didn't mean anything. For all they knew they were about to enter a war zone like Isafaro, or even worst than that. They wouldn't know what to expect until they dived into the realm and what it had to offer. Garrus Vakarian Looks peaceful enough.

When they made it to town there were various buildings, but not very tall. Different shops and apartments and government buildings. It was hard to pinpoint where they should start searching for answers. Seeing the relaxed environment, Tori put her gun back in its hoslter and looked around for an inn or a bar to learn more about the city.
"This place reminds me of Moon Valley, only bigger. Maybe there's a club nearby we can go to to learn more."

Kragen was also reminded of Moon Valley with the business of Isafaro without the high tech and military types patrolling the streets. Many cars drove down the road on both sides with few people actually walking the pavement. Just when he was about to put away his weapon a bullet nearly hit him and he quickly took behind the cover expecting that Tori and Garrus wouldn't be far behind.
"We got company!"

Garrus was second to get behind cover next to Kragen. He noticed that the bullet that hit the ground was a .500BMG. The same type of round in Kragen's sniper's rifle. Exchanging the heavy pistol for his sniper's rifle, Garrus peered around the corner of the building they were behind and looked through his scope to see who was shooting at them. And what he saw was a man in black military garb and a gas mask. The same gas mask as Kragen. He went back behind cover before the other Kragen could shoot at him. Garrus Vakarian Kragen, it's you.

Dammit! They haven't been in this city for five minutes yet, and somebody was already shooting at them! Tori got behind cover alongside Kragen and Garrus and heard what Garrus said about the man being Kragen.
"Wait what?"
Tori looked through her own sniper's rifle scope and saw that the man was indeed Kragen. With the same weapon and same attire as the man next to her. It must have been this world's version of Kragen, but why was he shooting at them?
"This makes no sense."

Kragen looked at Garrus when he revealed the identity of the shooter. If they could see his expression it would've been one of confusion. If this was indeed him then they were going to have quite the fight on their hands. If this world's Kragen was anything like him. He looked at the bullet on the ground and knew in his gut that this man was also him.
"Twin. We need to take him down."
Once there was no shots coming from the other Kragen, Kragen took out his fifty caliber sniper's rifle and fire at the other Kragen forcing him out of cover to another piece of cover right next to it.
"Now!"

Garrus didn't need to be told twice. Without hesitation he came out from behind cover and fire with his sniper's rifle right at the legs of Kragen to cripple him. Not knowing if the commander wanted him alive or not. His shot hit and the other Kragen fell down, but rolled behind the cover for safety. Garrus Vakarian Commander, do you want him alive?

"You didn't think to ask that before you shot him?"
Tori moved around the wall they were behind and fired at the piece of cover the other Kragen was on to keep him pinned down before moving back behind the wall with Kragen and Garrus.
"I want him alive until we can figure out why he's doing this. But after that I don't care what happens to him."
Besides there was only room for one.

Kragen nodded his understanding prior to leaving the cover and open firing on the other Kragen's cover with the .500BMG blasting right through the wall and forcing the other Kragen to crawl to safety. Kragen then motioned for the commander to lead them across the street to the building the other Kragen was on.
"Lead the way."

Garrus Vakarian Sorry, Commander. Everyone made mistakes and Garrus was no exception. With his sniper's rifle still in hand he waited for Tori to lead the way across the street to get closer to the other Kragen's position. If he was anything like their Kragen he wouldn't stay down for long, and a wounded and desperate Kragen was a dangerous thing.
