History: The following was taken from a police report filed by the NYPD on January 15th 2017: Officers (names have been omitted from the report) arrived at the warehouse in question at approximately midnight, and while the facility was in fact being used in the Castillo families drug trade as our informant had said, nearly everyone in the warehouse had been killed, seemingly just prior to the officers arrival. The only survivor, a young woman who had apparently been dating one of the victims, was practically catatonic, repeating a single name, over and over again, "Caine." This latest incident coincides with numerous other events in which this mysterious figure has struck against Luca Castillo's organization. Oddly enough, this same figure is believed to have been Castillo's top enforcer for some time. (The report trails off listing theories as to the suspect's possible motives, his methods, etc, it's not important, why the //guitar sting// are you still reading this?! go to the next paragraph already, this crap ain't important!)
After two years of wandering and being a vigilante-for-hire, Cain found himself in Kansas City during a time when more people like him were popping up, people who were better and cooler than the normies and losers walking down the street. Prior to arriving, he had only one goal in mind, make money and kill bad guys, but with the massive presence of the wannabe mega-corporation Carari Industries, and the appearance of all these weirdos from other worlds, he wants to see what these new guys are capable of, and maybe throw the occasional wrench on the corporation's plans for the hell of it, because of COURSE the uber-powerful company has evil machinations, it's basic comic-book stuff, how can these locals NOT know that? And if he happens to find out who or what the hell he is while wrecking one of their facilities, then all the more reason to burn their stuff to the ground!
